Technical Crew behind Jailer 2:
Director Nelson Dilipkumar has reunited almost his entire core technical team from the first part to maintain the films unique dark comedy action tone.
As we all know Nelson Dilipkumar was the director and writer of the film. The Music for the movie has been handling by Anirudh Ravichander. It is a cake walk for him o score that intense background music for the film to get that intense emotional feel. The Director of photography was handling by Vijay Karthik Kannan.
The films editor was Nirmal and Production designer by D.R.K.Kiran. The film stnt and action part was handled by action choreographer Chetan D’Souza.

The production journey of Jailer 2 has been a massive undertaking by Sun pictures through moving various stages of high-profile filming and strategic timing.
The film is being produced with a substantial estimated budget of 225 crores. Rajnikanth remuneration reportedly accounts for significant portion of this investment reflecting his massive market value.

As per the industry reports, all the films in Kollywood film industry shoot majority portions of their film in EVP film city of Chennai, Tamil Nādu. BY going to another locations, they shot some portions in Palakkad in Kerala, where Rajnikanth has filmed major portions over several days.
In Athirappilly waterfalls has been shooted for high octane action sequences followed by one major adding scenic intense backdrop to the tiger’s hunt. Goa is also one of the key locations for the movie to shoot the gangs involving in this major idol smuggling syndicate and some awere shot in the constructed sets of Ramoji Film City (RFC) in Hyderabad.

Jailer 2 has officially made the history in digital space even before its theatrical release. In the April, 2026 it was confirmed by Amazon Prime Video secured the post theatrical rights for Jailer 2 is for 160 crores. This deal represents the largest OTT deal in the history of Tamil Cinema, significantly surpassing the previous record of Kamal Hasans Thug Lige with 150 crores.
The OTT release of Jailer 2 can be expected that the film to follow a standard 4 to 6-week theatrical window before debuting online.
